The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF)

CARF reviews and grants accreditation services nationally and internationally on request of a facility or program. Our standards are rigorous, so those services that meet them are among the best available. CARF is an independent, nonprofit organization. That means our focus is on ensuring the services you use meet your needs for quality and the best possible outcomes. Mike Soisson is an active CARF surveyor for over 10 years and continues to work with organizations to assist them prepare for CARF accreditation.

The CMS website is an outstanding source of information regarding all healthcare services including those in the post acute arena. It provides information on statistics and other healthcare data; Program Memorandum for various healthcare services; Conditions of Participation for all levels of care; and educational material regarding the mechanics of all healthcare payment systems.

American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association (AMRPA)

AMRPA is†a nonprofit trade organization representing freestanding rehabilitation hospitals, rehabilitation units in general hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation facilities, several skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies that provide medical rehabilitation services to over 700, 000 people annually. We now number over 450 members.

American Long Term Hospital Association (ALTHA)

ALTHA is a Washington, DC based association of Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Hospitals. The association works to advocate for the continued services of Long Term Acute Care Hospitals within the CMS system. This website provides valuable information regarding current legislative initiatives and ongoing regulatory issues regarding LTAC Hospital services.
